Bio

Spencer recently retired as Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of Cadence Design Systems Inc., industry leader in the electronic design automation space. He formed Cadence University to drive global implementation of technical, professional, executive and leadership development. While serving Cadence, Spencer also implemented an organizational development practice and designed and implemented a best practice talent development program, including succession planning. Over the five years before joining Cadence, Spencer was President of his own consulting company. He used his skills to improve performance in variety of industries and disciplines including Power, Defense, Human Performance, Security and Manufacturing.

Accomplishments & Awards

  • The GE Leadership Development Program, Crotonville Learning Center was Spencer’s inspiration for his last role as CLO of Cadence. It also served as the foundation of his enduring passion to help build great companies.
