Kate Pengue
Leadership/Industry Expertise
Kate Pengue is a consultant with TRI Corporation. She develops and teaches custom programs for various groups of non-finance professionals. Kate is a faculty member at the General Electric (GE) Management Development Institute. She teaches programs developed by TRI Corporation, the Advanced Manager Course and the New Manager Development Course, both in Crotonville, New York and internationally. Kate is part of the faculty for Acquisition Integration Training at GE. She also teaches an accelerated version of GE’s Financial Management Program’s (FMP) Strategy course for participants embarking on GE’s famed Corporate Audit Staff (CAS).
Bio
Prior to joining TRI Corporation’s consultancy team, Kate obtained her Certified Financial Planning (CFP) certification and ran her own business as a planner. She concentrated in personal financial & tax planning and preparation for several years. Kate then began consulting with GE’s Financial Leadership Development group and worked as a subject matter expert on curriculum development for a variety of GE finance courses.
Kate’s relationship with GE began when she joined their renowned Financial Management Program (FMP) program. This rigorous two-year training experience incorporated six-month business assignments and an advanced finance, accounting and business strategy curriculum. Upon graduating from FMP with corporate honors, Kate joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff (CAS). She assessed controllership and financial statement integrity and participated in both domestic and international operational business reviews. Kate next joined GE Capital Services as Manager-Corporate Financial Planning. She held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, primarily in the financial planning and analysis arenas.
