“I want to thank the TRI Corp. and Wells Fargo team for making an impact on the lives
of underserved youth. Implementing the TRI business simulation model for high school
students in some of the most challenging schools in the Bay Area was transformational!
Not only did our students gain insight into the world of business, but they gained
insight into their own skills and abilities. The exposure to solving critical business
challenges, strategic thinking, and critical analysis, are all skills that will be
invaluable to our students as they transition from high school, through college, and
beyond.”

Bay Area Leadership Foundation BALF
TRI Corp has made great efforts to extend the reach of education and technology to students by offering our time and financial resources to support worthy causes. Read more to see how TRI is promoting 21st century skills to prepare today's students for tomorrow’s jobs.
Our most recent efforts were focused on the Bay Area Leadership Foundation (BALF). The mission of the BALF to provide talented, motivated youth who would normally fall between the cracks with academic and life skills support. BALF achieves this through mentorship, academic and career exposure, and financial support. Students who participate in the program graduate to become productive members of their local communities, and in turn give back their time and resources to the next generation of students. Established in 2001, BALF provides support services and financial assistance to enable underrepresented students from some of the Bay Area’s most depressed communities to have a meaningful college experience and graduate to become productive members of society and future community leaders.
TRI has supported the BALF for a number of years at its annual fundraiser. This year with the assistance and support of Wells Fargo and BALF management, we spent a weekend with over twenty students and put them through one of our business simulations. The students worked very hard for two days and learned a lot about business, working in teams and themselves.
For more information on the BALF please contact them through their website.
